• 22 November to 6 December 2008 - Tom, Dick and Harry - Presented by the Gold Coast Little Theatre. Farce about three brothers, one wife, one mother-in-law, smuggled brandy and cigarettes, Kosovan refugees and lots of laughter. • 6 December (Saturday) 2008 - Broadbeach Swing into Christmas - Presented by the Broadbeach Alliance in support of the Starlight Children's Foundation Australia. Hosted by Channel Nine's Rob Readings. Featuring ‘The Blenders Choir’, Alex the Lion from Madagascar, and the Allan Brown Big Band. This is a ticketed event and the cost is a gold coin donation. 4.30pm at the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre. • 6 & 7 December 2008 - Canetoad Pestival Weekend - Festival celebrating cane toads. Documentaries, toad racing and prizes for the biggest and most bizarre toads caught.
